Volunteers
Every Sunday, over 60 volunteers show up and work together in their unique roles to create a loving, stable environment for the preschoolers we receive each week. Hillvue Preschool Ministry is completely fueled by volunteers. We could not exist without their leadership and expertise.
Roles
Sunday School Lead Teachers:
Teachers are assigned to a specific age group and hour, and they are responsible for teaching the preschoolers assigned to their class. They are required to know and teach the Bible story and Bible verse and to pray for each child.
Assistant Teachers/Classroom Volunteers:
These assistants are either assigned to a specific age group or agree to "float" in classrooms as needed. These volunteers assist the Sunday School Teacher with the preschoolers in their care.
Shepherds:
Volunteers who escort the preschoolers to their assigned classroom, prepare snacks for the class, assist as an extra pair of hands in the classroom as needed, and help escort the preschoolers from their classroom to their parents.
Check-In/Greeters:
These volunteers are assigned to a specific check-in station and specific hour to welcome and greet our preschoolers and their families. Greeters must have a welcoming attitude, be pleasant but firm, and have the ability to use our touch-screen computers and work well under pressure!
Application
