Hillvue has several ministries that exist to help people who are in need. Some of these include:
We always have volunteers and others who would love to pray on behalf of anyone in need, whether that need is for a job or financial problems or healing or relationship problems. If you'd like prayer for your need, please call the church office at (270) 842-0012 and ask to be added to our prayer request list.
Do you have a financial need? We have a benevolence team that handles these requests. They meet once a week and go over all of the requests to determine who we can help each week. There are limited funds and a lot of people that request assistance, so we often can't help everyone. To be considered, you just need to call the church (842-0012) and ask to leave a voicemail for benevolence. Let them know the nature of the problem and your contact information and they'll contact you if they can be of help.
From time to time, we assemble a list of job opportunities that we become aware of in the community. Feel free to download this pdf, or if you prefer, copies are available in our church office.
Our food pantry exists to provide non-perishable foods to people in need. If you're able to contribute, we're always accepting donations of pastas, canned foods, rice, and other foods with lengthy shelf life. We cannot hand out expired food, however, so please do not donate expired foods.
If you need food, pantry hours are Monday from Noon -4 PM and Wednesdays from 3-6:30 PM. Hours are subject to change, so please call the office before coming to pick up food. Also, please be prepared to show identification for all members of the household.
